== Haunting / Legend Summary == According to legend, a farmer in the 1920s became haunted by a malevolent force—referred to by some as the devil. After finishing work on his farm one day, the man reportedly murdered his entire family. Later that evening, the local sheriff discovered the man hanging by his neck. The legend splits at this point. Some versions suggest the man took his own life due to guilt or supernatural influence. Others claim a member of the community discovered the murders first and enacted vigilante justice by hanging the man. It is also said that on certain nights, the man’s ghost can be seen hanging from a tree near the intersection of County Road 24 and SR 637.
